The whistling wind ball

Tall mighty grand oaks
don their brand new green cloaks,
flowers curtsey and bob in the breeze.
The birds swoop and dive
to the sound of the jive:
They twirl and they whirl till they wheeze!

The frog orchestra plays.
The cats’ chorus amazes
the owl in his suit, what a hoot!
The badger and skunk
are so terribly drunk,
they waltz round and round on the roof!

Bees and butterflies dance;
even the hedgehog will prance.
Moonlight twinkles and dapples the wall.
Still they’ll foxtrot and run
till the sun spoils their fun.
Tis the night of the whistling wind ball!
