I look at the page
I pick up my pen
Angled, poised and ready
My mind is blank
Empty of notion
What should I write today?
I want to write
I feel the need
I want to tell a story
I start to hum
Perhaps a tune
Will help focus my thoughts
I hear the beat
I tap my feet
To my wordless, empty tune
I cannot think
I cannot write
I cannot pen a tale
I stare at the page
I try to form
Some words, just two or three
My mind is blank
The words won’t come
They are evading me
I put down my pen
I close my eyes
Ideas have gone away
I could not think
I could not write
No story here today

I really felt that I wanted to write this evening, but the words wouldn’t come. So that’s exactly what I wrote about – nothing!
